Hibberd (Planet) - FH.2528
FH.2528 was built by F.C Hibberd and Co Ltd at their Park Royal Corporation works in 1941 during World War Two. The 20HP locomotive was ordered by War Department. It was kept in stores as stategic reserve at the Ministry of Defence depot at Liphook, after the war it was sold to A.Streeter & Co at Catershall Wharf in Godalming, a civil engineers. It spent most of it's time in Streeter's yard, occasionally working construction contracts on temporarily laid rails. It was permanently loaned out to the Wey Valley Light Railway in June 1975. In 1982 the site of Wey Valley Light Railway was acquired for development. The members, track and stock moved to the Rural Life Museum throughout 1982. However this was not the case for 2528, as it was still on loan it remained at the former site of the Wey Valley Light Railway awaiting a decision to be made by its owners. In February 1983 FH.2528 moved to the Old Kiln Light Railway after it was donated to the railway by A.Streeter & Co of Godalming.
