After many years being laid up, 5713 went through a change of ownership and is being run in again.

A lot of recommissioning work has occurred which included changing all the fluids in the locomotive and addressing a previously known issue of the head gasket.

After a bit of a sprint the locomotive was running again with one of the other original locomotives of the OKLR, 2528 for the Museums 'Founders Day' event.

Since then 5713 has been out occasionally but is in limited service due to it needing a full strip down and overhaul when there is space in the workshops.
